National School Choice Week 2019
Every year we celebrate educational opportunities with National School Choice Week! It is a cross-country series of independent events that spotlight the array of K-12 learning environments. It will begin January 20th and last through January 26th, 2019. It all began in 2011 and has noted over 58,000 events across the country! It is a fabulous way to highlight the diverse options available to families – district schools, chartered public schools, magnet schools, online learning, private and independent schools, and home education. New Hampshire has a rich educational environment!
New Hampshire will host two NSCW events this year – save the dates and be sure to register.
Tuesday, January 22 11:30am to 1:30pm Grappone Center in Concord
Hosted by the Children’s Scholarship Fund NH, this child-friendly rally will feature over a dozen student-performance groups. Always a fun time! Tickets are free and available through this event link.
Wednesday, January 23 6:00pm to 8:00pm Manchester City Library
Intro to Homeschooling Discussion
School Choice for NH and Granite State Home Educators will host an Intro to Homeschooling Discussion. It is a great opportunity for new(er) homeschoolers to have their questions addressed. It will include an overview of how to start a home education program, the (simple!) legal requirements, and the various resources available to NH families. There also will be plenty of time to address questions, so you have confidence to start your home education journey. Tickets are free – bring a friend!
